Grand Master Young Wha Yu

Grand Master Wha was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Growing up, he was a member of his school’s Taekwondo teams, and recorded the following achievements:
◊ 1966-69 – Korean National Children’s Champion. During this time, Grand Master Wha participated in demonstration for 3 different U.S. Officials, including President Richard Nixon (1968), and President Lyndon Johnson. He also performed for Vice President Hubert Humphrey (1967), and the Malaysian General Counsel in 1969.
◊ 1977-79 – 3 Time Bantam Weight National Champion
Grand Master Wha immigrated to the United States in the late 1980's and opened his first Taekwondo school in 1991 in Murrieta, California. He is currently a 7th Degree Taekwondo Black Belt, and a 5th Degree Hapkido Black Belt.
